Abstract

Please use the template and follow guidelines on the second page of this document. The abstract should not exceed one page. All abstracts should be received before May 31, 2009 to be included in Book of Abstracts. Deadline for submission of abstracts to be considered for oral presentation is March 31, 2009. Online abstract submission through www.esoc2009.com should be used to upload the corresponding file using your personal log-in password. To upload a new (modified) version, please repeat such a procedure.

Alternatively, the abstract can be sent by e-mail to info@esoc2009.com as an attachment. Hard copies will not be accepted.

Poster presentation

The majority of contributions will be presented as posters and, therefore, poster sessions will be one of key elements of the ESOC 2009 scientific programme.

Form. The size of the poster board will be 130 cm (height) × 96 cm (width). Each poster should contain a title (size of letters 4 cm, at least), authors' names, affiliation, city and country (size of letters 2 cm).
Presentation. The presenters will be asked to arrange their posters at designated panels before the beginning of the poster session and remove them immediately after its closure. Adhesive tapes or pins will be provided by organisers.

Lecture presentation

Since the ESOC 2009 scientific programme will follow a given time schedule, all oral communications including discussion should not exceed the limit specified below.

Keynote & plenary lectures: 45 min
Invited speakers' lectures: 35 min
Young talented organic chemists' lectures:     30 min
Short oral communications: 15 min

Data projectors. The lecture room will be equipped with dataprojectors only controlled by PC with MS PowerPoint software (version 2007). The presentation files should be provided on CD-ROM or flash memory USB sticks. If necessary, laptops (under Windows or Mac OS) can be used directly for the presentation but organisers will have no responsibility for solving laptop-dataprojector communication problems. A PC for checking the PowerPoint presentation beforehand will be available in the Conference Computer Room.

Language

The official symposium language is English.
