INVITATION

On behalf of the organising committee, I cordially invite you to participate in the 16^th European Symposium on Organic Chemistry (ESOC 2009), which will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, from the 12^th to 16^th July, 2009.

This well established conference will provide a forum for broad scientific and technological exchange among researchers from Europe and elsewhere. The intention is to emphasise the multidisciplinary character of cutting-edge organic chemistry and, accordingly, to put together researchers and students from different branches of chemistry. As a modern society based on knowledge largely benefits from a commercialisation of academic research outcomes, we hope to attract the attention of industrial chemists to participate actively in the event.

The ESOC 2009 is organised by the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, which maintains the best tradition of Czech science. We are aware of the necessity of paying attention not only to an attractive scientific programme but also to make the conference sociable providing warm hospitality to the participants.
